Although it was expected, the process of packing things and moving to a new location is always a little stressful. Much of this week has been spent saying goodbye to many friends that we have made and going through our place to make sure we won't leave anything. As is almost always the case in those situations, there is a bittersweetness. Even though we are excited about the things that are coming, saying goodbye is rarely easy.
Without question, the nanny has been one of the most difficult to leave. Our children were very excited when she offered to take them to the zoo on Friday. They had been to the zoo once before here, but I have never seem them turn down the opportunity to go look at animals.
At the zoo here, they also have a miniature children's amusement park. In the past, Isaac has been a little afraid of these sorts of things. This particular time, he was ready to try it out. And, he loved it!!
We also had the opportunity to go and eat dinner with a family this last week. Cara has been teaching their son English, and they wanted to thank us before we left. Isaac and Autumn had a wonderful time running around and playing with the other kids. And, it was nice too because we didn't have to worry about them breaking anything on the table. It was a very nice night that only required one "adventure" item of food. :) You can venture a guess as to what it was on the poll on the right side of this page.
