Schools Out!
Because historically the Chinese have followed the lunar calendar, the major holiday is now going on. Most children began their winter holiday this week, so our kids have had many opportunities to play with them. Below is a picture of Isaac's friend watching Tom and Jerry with Autumn and Isaac. Although we don't have any pictures of it, there have also been quite a few kids playing on the playground downstairs. Isaac and Autumn were able to get their bikes out and take part in the fun today. The weather was beautiful and they really enjoyed it.
Also this week we were able to take a trip to a nearby city to visit a college classmate of ours. It was fun to get out and explore a little bit and we were also able to have some Papa John's pizza again. You just can't beat that Papa John's dipping sauce. :) And, our friends opened up their home so we could just sit and relax for the afternoon as well. It was a very good trip.
This is the river going through the center of the city. We took a short boat ride across (short as in about 5 minutes). As you can see, Isaac and Autumn always enjoy a day out. They have gotten very used to traveling, and bus rides don't bother them at all. We have been blessed with wonderful children in so many ways!
