Back to the Mainland

Well, we missed a week of blogging. We were all set to send out an update along with the blog, but when we got to the hotel.....no internet!!! Can you believe it??? A hotel in 2009 with no internet?? And it was a nice hotel as well. So, we apologize, but we hope to make up for it with lots of cute pictures.
Yesterday we arrived back home from almost a week in Thailand. Aunt Nelle got married, and the kids had a small role in the wedding. They were a bit worn out by everything, but they had a great time. Up until the wedding there was some preparation to be done. Cara helped out decorating the cakes which Nancy had baked before we arrived. And Cara also finished up the cross which we along with Joel's family gave as a gift to the couple. The cross was made to display old photos of the two from childhood to present.
The wedding was beautiful. Danelle and Arm are a great couple, and things went very smoothly. After the wedding, we were able to spend some time with them before we all parted ways. The kids are getting used to goodbyes, but I think it helps that they always have another get-together to look forward to.Before we arrived in Thailand, we spent a day in Macau. It was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed taking Pop up to the top of Macau Tower (the highest bungee jump in the WORLD). However, nobody from our family took the plunge. We all stayed safe....the closest we got to doing anything dangerous was standing on this window in the floor.
Now we are home sweet home and trying to get back in the swing of things. The kids went back to school today, and they are thankful to be back to normal living. And of course they were happy to get back to their hamsters--Tom and Jerry (#3 and #4). Speaking of hamsters, the kids were able to go to the factory where the hamster cage was made. And because Autumn and Isaac had such a cute smile, they gave us the cage for FREE! So the picture below is from the factory.
