Learning our New City

It is always exciting (and a little scary) to learn your way around a place that is so foreign. But, you gain a lot of confidence by doing the little things. This week has been full of those opportunities and we feel more and more at home here everyday. We have our friend (pictured below) to thank for much of that. :) However, the time has come for her to return home this week. We will be sad to see her go, but we cannot tell you how thankful we are for what she has done for us. It has truly been an act of service.

Spaghetti Dinner

One night this week, Cara was able to make spaghetti for dinner. It is always a favorite of Isaac's, and as you can see below, Autumn has taking quite a liking to it as well. She has been eating on her own with a spoon lately. Although the cleanup certainly takes a little extra time, it is more than worth it for us to be able to eat on our own without having to feed her. We think she enjoys it more as well.

Unpacking More Stuff

Also this week, the bulk of our belongings came from our previous home. This was a very exciting day for the kids. Apparently, they had forgotten about some of the toys they had. So, it was like Christmas all over again. They were so excited when we opened a new box and showed them what was in it. Pictured below is Isaac with his Thomas the Train set, without question one of his favorite toys.

Although we've been through a lot of change, we want you all to know that we are doing very well. The kids truly are adjusting quickly. Isaac really likes his new school, and Autumn is taking everything in stride, just like normal. We are blessed to have a Father who is so faithful and good to us over and over again. We simply want to take what He has given us and do what we can to please Him.
