Chocolate Monkey and Petty Theft

This week we had the opportunity to see our first wedding here. Although it was not a traditional Chinese wedding (and, in fact, was very similar to our own), it was a neat experience for us to be a part of. They had actually wanted Isaac to be the ring-bearer, but we figured he would have been a little too shy for that. Even still, he and Autumn received plenty of attention.

We also had to take another trip to a nearby city this past week. Above is a picture of a canal inside one of the casinos in this city. The building was absolutely amazing. And yes, if you are wondering, when we left we had very little money in our pockets. Of course, we came in the very same way. Actually, at one point we looked down and Autumn was holding a small stuffed bear. We looked at each other wondering where it had come from. When we quickly retraced our steps in our mind, we remembered being in a certain shop to see how much it cost to ride the gondola down the canal. She must have taken it off the shelf while we were there. We returned the bear, but there is no telling how many cameras have a picture of our daughter's first theft.

And, as last week's poll question alluded to, the short trip meant one very important thing - MEXICAN FOOD! Above is a picture of the restaurant. Just like last time, the food was exceptional! For Cara, it is always a rejuvenating experience. :)

This time, we even splurged on desert. Isaac and Autumn are enjoying their "Chocolate Monkey" (Chocolate-Banana) shake. They shared one, and they did good taking turns. However, each one only allowed the other about 2 seconds for their turn. So, we finally just gave them two straws. It was pretty entertaining.

Looks like you been having lots of fun lately. I'm sure the bear incident made your hearts skip a beat. Hey, I haven't heard if your folks arrived safely in the East. Please advise. Phyllis
