Indoor Beach?

For Family Day this week, we decided to go check out the new play area that was recently put into a large department store here. And, yes, as the pictures below show, part of it was very much like an indoor beach. I mean, maybe sand pit would be a better description, but it was huge!

And, we're trying a new slideshow feature (see below) here in the blog, so we hope it works well for you. You should be able to see all of the pictures we took from the new play area. Let us know how it turns out.We were also fortunate to be able to watch a solar eclipse this last week. It was only a partial eclipse, but it was still very interesting. Cara was able to take some pictures of the kids on the roof while they were up there. But, sorry, we weren't professional enough to get some actual pictures of the eclipse for you.


Lastly for this week, we had another craft night at our home. This time the ladies made magnets. It has been fun to watch everyone get more and more comfortable through this event, and we have really begun to make some good friends. When your language is so limited, sometimes it takes some time to make those more meaningful relationships. But, we are hoping that they continue during this monthly activity.
