Another Season of Posts

In November of last year we welcomed our sweet miracle baby.  After many prayers and in God's perfect timing, He gave us our treasured Stephen Josiah.  Although the first few months were tough, he is now the happiest and most expressive little one!

We have been back overseas now for about 2 weeks and he is slowly getting used to the heat and humidity.  He has not yet begun to show any signs of "separation anxiety" with Momma.  He goes to just about anyone--he hasn't met a stranger yet.  And he has many hugs and kisses from strangers along the way.  Of course he got many of those while we were back in the states, but even from the time of the plane ride to CH, he has been loved on by people from all over the world--including the men from India who just couldn't get enough of him and the old Chinese grandma giving him zerberts to make him giggle on the plane.
Isaac and Autumn are doing good.  They seem a little shy about getting back into speaking the local language, but they are happy to be "home."  Autumn has already begun talking about starting swim lessons again and Isaac has already been out to the "big field" to play catch with Daddy.
Our apartment was "almost" vacant while we were in the states and we had some issues with mold when we got back.  Actually when we walked into the apartment it looked very clean (although it smelled pretty musty).  The landlord had come and cleaned many times while we were away.  The walls, ceiling, and floors were so clean!  After he left we started opening cabinets and looking at pillows/bed sheets and we had a lot of cleaning to do!  It was a challenge to find sheets and pillows to sleep with the first night.  In fact, I used an old t-shirt as a pillow cover the first night--and Isaac and I slept on an air mattress.  We have gotten most everything cleaned up now, but note to self--don't let short term guests stay in your apartment when it is going to be vacant for several months after they leave.  All those small little spills that they didn't clean up....the grease that had splattered on the walls after they cooked...etc. etc.
We struggled with jet lag for about a week, but we are pretty much over it now.  And Stephen seems to be sleeping better than he has in a LONG time.  He has had much more of a routine here than what we had leading up to our departure from the states.  So PTL!

We have seen many old friends and will see more this weekend.  I will try and upload pictures onto our smugmug as I take them.  :)  Missing friends and family stateside!

It is good to read your posts again! Glad y'all are getting everything cleaned up, but sorry you had so much to do immediately after you arrived! Glad Stephen is adjusting well to his new home and Isaac and Autumn are looking forward to things. We love y'all.
