December is Upon Us

Hard to believe, but the final month of the year has already arrived. Although not quite the same as back in the States, the Christmas season is definitely alive here on the other side of the world. We have a little Christmas tree up in our home, and modern technology has made it very simple to bring many of the sounds of Christmas with us through and IPOD.

We made several new opportunities to make friends this week. Trips to the university have become very fruitful as we have been able to start a couple groups of English/Chinese corner, if you will. The students here are hungry to learn conversational English, and we are equally desparate to learn the nuances of this one. So, it works out very well for all of us.

On Friday, we were able to have a family day. We had heard there was an aquarium named "Ocean World" so we ventured out to have a look. It really was a very nice facility. They had some very interesting fish, and even some polar bears. We finished up the trip by watching the dolphin show that was very entertaining.

Then, Friday evening, we all stayed home for a movie night. We popped popcorn, and watched Charlotte's Web, which we had just purchased for approximately 90 cents. Cheaper than a rental huh? It really was a good refreshing day for us as a family, and we are thankful to Father for providing those sorts of things.

We love you all!
