First Day of School

On Friday, Isaac went to his first day of pre-school. We had gone to the store this past week to let him pick out a backpack. He was so excited! It was an early morning, but he was ready to venture out into this new world of "school."

Autumn was up early, with some crazy hair I might add, to see her brother off to school. Not suprisingly, even though she was really happy and could sense Isaac's excitement when he left, it didn't take long for her to miss her brother. :) Who was she going to play with now?

At school, it was an emotional day. Isaac loved all the toys and began interacting with the other children. However, the environment was a little much for him (which is to be expected considering everything was in another language). There is another little girl in his class that speaks English, but she was kind of shy around Isaac as well. Because it is a little different situation cross-culturally, Daddy stayed around the school all morning. We will have to slowly leave more and more each day until he is ready. It's difficult for us as parents too. Normally, we would just leave him and he would learn to adjust. But, this is quite a transition for a 3 year old. We just need Father to give us wisdom how to handle it.

We also thought you'd enjoy some live action of what the pre-school is like. Can you understand what anyone is saying? Imagine how Isaac feels! :)
