When Will the Rain Stop?

Yes, it has been raining nearly every day for quite some time now. Apparently this is the rainy season. We've been told that May, June, and some of July is quite rainy here. So, we should be nearing the end of having to take an umbrella everywhere. I love the rain, but after awhile it starts to wear on you a little bit. :)

This week we were treated to dinner yet again by our landlord. The restaurant was very nice, and it is always a good opportunity to practice Chinese. Above Autumn is pictured with a friend of his who was here visiting. She loved our children, and as you can see, they quickly liked her as well.

Here Cara and the kids are pictured with the landlord's family. The two boys on the left are his sons who we have been helping with English. Then, in order, is the landlord, his wife, and his friend. They have been unbelievably nice to us over the last couple months. It is always nice to have people like that in your corner in a country that is not your own, even when communication is only minimal. :)

We also had the chance to take another stroll through a park one evening this week. We were trying to get a shot of our skyline, but more on that later. In the process, we found this. I had to photo stitch the pictures together to get the whole rock in the picture. But, I hope it comes through. It was very strange. The rock is huge, and the only part touching the ground is what you can see here. Felt a little eery standing next to it.

We always like to provide a picture of Isaac and Autumn, and they have had no problem posing recently. But, I must admit, we have great kids and we are thankful to the Father for the blessing they are to us. But, like kids do, they are growing up in a hurry. We are enjoying every minute we can.

And, finally, here is the skyline I was attempting to capture. It was a very clear day, but a picture can never capture the true skyline of city's here. No matter which direction you turn, this is what you see. Just so many people, and so many buildings. It really is amazing.
