Thanksgiving (just a little late)

Because we were out of town on Thanksgiving, we decided to have Thanksgiving--just a little late. On Sunday, we devoted the day to having a meal and giving thanks. Cara spent the entire morning in the kitchen cooking. Then at noon we had turkey legs, green bean casserole, dressing, corn on the cob, hashbrown casserole, mashed potatoes, and rolls. Joel made us a chocolate pie....yummy!
Then after lunch, we had some friends come over for a visit. It really was a special day. As you can see from the pictures, we all were very excited. :) The kids were especially in good moods.
That night I did some Christmas shopping, and believe it or not...we will be celebrating Christmas in just a little over 2 weeks. Crazy! We are planning on taking a trip out of town during the holidays to visit some old friends. We planned on going during Thanksgiving, but being in the hospital kinda changed things.

As for Cara's health, she is feeling better. Today she was able to take off all the bandages, and she even put in a full day of teaching. She is not completely back up to speed but the pains are becoming less and she expects to be fully recovered in a couple weeks.

One thing that she has really felt burdened to do is to share her story (the full story) with as many people as possible. She knows that all things happen with purpose, and she wants to be able to use her story to encourage others. It really is a testimony of how good God is. If you would like to read it, please visit the following website: www.delivered2heaven.blogspot.com
Because she wanted to include a lot of details for memory's sake, it is long, so be ready to read about a chapter's length. However, we do hope that you will pass it along to others, and if you know of anyone else who would like to share their story...please have them send an email to delivered2heaven@gmail.com.

We love you all!
