This past weekend we were able to take a day with some friends and go to visit a very nice science museum. Our children were very excited to get to play with the other children whom, even though they look quite Asian, are actually Americans and speak English as their first language. :)
As you can see below, we were able to do quite a few very interesting things, including putting Autumn's head on a platter. As you can tell from the picture, it was not at all painful, and Autumn seemed to quite enjoy it.

All in the same day, Isaac also became a real astronaut. He was really proud of himself for this picture right here. And, we don't have the video to show you, but he tried to ride one of those machines (see below) that spins you around to attempt to acclimate you to weightlessness. Needless to say, it was not one of his favorite things at the center. While he was on the machine, he didn't know there was a red button you could push to stop the spinning. So, he had to quite fearfully call out to the attendant to ask her to stop it. He certainly did much better with it than his daddy would have done.

Here is a picture with all of the kids together (as well as a quite strange picture in the background of Alice in Wonderland. Why does every movie these days have to be so strange and creepy? What's wrong with just a good simple movie?) Anyway, this picture was taken at the beginning of the day when the kids still had quite a bit of energy. By the time evening came around, they were certainly ready to call it quits.

After the science museum we went to have dinner with our friends and then planned on catching a bus back home at about 8:30 or so. However, much to our surprise, when we got to the bus station we realized that the last bus left around 8:00. So, we had to give our friends a call again to ask if we could spend the night with them.
The next day on the bus ride home, Cara and I were talking about how much time we could have saved had we had a car. Rather than arriving home at 10:00 the night before (as we could have easily done with a car), we ended up getting home at about 11:00 in the morning the next day. Honestly, for the most part both of us don't really miss having a vehicle that much. You don't have the hassles of routine maintenance or the expense of gas. However, times like these certainly remind us how convenient it can be to have your own vehicle. :)
