Isaac's birthday

Last Sunday we celebrated Isaac's birthday. Actually I think we celebrated it for almost a week. He really wanted to celebrate on the actual day so we went out and bought his new bike that night. And as birthday presents trickled through the mail, we gave those to them as they arrived. We did save some for his party, but again he had a little something every day. :) Among his presents were: baseball bases, a new glove, a Giants baseball, baseball shirts and hats, baseball card sleeves, legos, and money. He used his money to buy a huge air craft carrier lego set. It was about 25 US dollars, and it is about a meter long--no lie! The four of us worked about 6-8 hours building it. It is pretty cool--I just don't know where we are going to put it!
9 kids came to his party, but the 3 girls weren't all that interested in baseball, so they just watched and played on the playground. We actually even had a crowd for the game because a lot of Chinese people came outside to watch baseball--which they have probably never seen before. I think we really even forgot that they were watching until a few people would "ghost walk" through the field--sometimes between the pitcher and the batter. You would think that one glance at the game would let you know that it is not a place that you want to "walk through". It was kinda funny and reminded me and Joel of the movie "Field of Dreams".
The weather took a cooler turn this week. It is actually a very pleasant cool--ranging from the low 60's to low 70's, but riding on the bike--it feels cooler than that. It makes me want to get out my robe and go buy some cozy house-shoes. I imagine that it will warm up again, because it didn't get this cold in the past couple of years until December. We will see...
Well, I hope that you guys enjoy the pictures. Thanks for all of the gifts and birthday wishes for Isaac. He really did have a special day.
